There are around 59 Deemed Medical Colleges in India in 2026 that offer more than 12000 MBBS seats. The “Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)” conducts the admission counselling process of the deemed universities on behalf of the MCC (“Medical Counselling Committee”).

In Andhra Pradesh, the “Gitam Institute of Medical Science & Research” is a famous deemed medical college where the management quota fees for the whole 4.5-year program is around Rs 25,37,000 along with hostel fees of Rs 2,69,992 yearly.
In Delhi, the “Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research” charges around Rs. 16,00,000 for management quota admission for the 4.5-year degree course.
In Gujarat, the management quota admission fee in the “SBKS Medical Institute & Research Centre” is slightly less than the previous two institutes. Here, the fees are around Rs. 18,75,000 for 4.5 years. The NRI quota fees of this institution are 50770 USD yearly.
In Haryana, “Amrita School of Medicine” charges around Rs. 25,00,000 for their 5-year MBBS course, and their hostel fees are Rs 1,51,000 yearly.
In Jharkhand, the “Manipal Tata Medical College, Jamshedpur” has a management quota fee of around Rs. 16,19,000 for their 4-year course. However, there are no NRI seats available in this institute.
In Karnataka, the “Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore” charges around Rs. 17,80,000 for their 4-year MBBS program. The NRI quota fee of this institution is around 37,100 USD for 4 Years.
In Kerala, the “Amrita School of Medicine, Kochi” has a management quota fee of around Rs. 25,00,000 for their five-year course.
In Maharashtra, the total fee of the “Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College” is around Rs 25,96,000 for 4.5 years. The hostel fees of this institution are around Rs 2,71,000.
In Odisha, the management quota fees of the “Institute of Medical Sciences & SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar” are around Rs. 19,60,000 for 4.5 years. On the other hand, “Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar" charges around Rs. 18,50,000 for the same.
The “ACS Medical College & Hospital” in Tamil Nadu charges around Rs. 23,00,000 for their 4.5-year MBBS program for a management quota seat. The NRI quota fees of the same institution are 45000 USD yearly.
The “Santosh Medical College & Hospital, Ghaziabad” in Uttar Pradesh has a management quota fee of Rs. 24,00,000 for their 4.5-year MBBS program that can be paid in two instalments.
Seats in deemed medical colleges in India are highly sought after because there are no state-wise reservation constraints. Allocation of seats is based on candidates' NEET UG results. The MCC conducts the seat allocation process in four rounds. All seats in Deemed medical colleges (100%) fall under the All India Quota (AIQ). Only NRI candidates are eligible for NRI seats. If any NRI or minority quota seats remain vacant after the third round, these seats get converted into General Management seats. At this point, all candidates become eligible to be allotted these remaining seats based on merit and preference.
On the basis of the NEET UG score, candidates who are qualified for AIQ seats are eligible for Deemed University MBBS admission in 2026. Seats are offered to the students under the NRI quota and the Management quota with separate NEET UG cutoffs.
The counselling process is conducted fully in online mode. Candidates need to register themselves in the MCC portal and pay the Deemed University registration fee in order to participate in the counselling rounds. Students can select their course preference and institute preference after registration. Based on the choices that are filled by the students, and based on the seat availability of the institutions, admission to a Deemed University is granted.
